Levelized Billing
Are you tired of that rollercoaster power bill of yours? Why not let LEVELIZED BILLING reduce the peaks and valleys on your electric bill.

Levelized billing won't reduce your total annual electric bill, but it will reduce the peaks and valleys caused by extreme seasonal temperature changes. It will also help you more accurately budget your monthly energy costs and distribute your payments more evenly throughout the year. Levelized billing consists of an average of the current month's kilowatt hour usage and the previous 11 months' kilowatt hour usage. The rolling average appears on your monthly electric bill. This service is available only to residential accounts and members must meet the following criteria to participate in levelized billing:
  • Members must have an excellent credit rating with Southern Pine Electric Co-op.
  • Members must have 12 months of continuous usage at the particular account you wish to enroll in levelized billing.
  • Members must be willing to sign and abide by the levelized billing agreement.

For our members' convenience, Southern Pine has made arrangements with businesses within each of the co-op's four districts to accept your monthly electric bill payments and remit those payments to the co-op. Those businesses are: James Brothers' Furniture, East Brewton, Ala.; United Bank, Flomaton, Ala.; Excel Hardware, Excel, Ala.; and People's Exchange Bank, Beatrice, Ala.
