Have you ever heard of Ground Fault Circuit Interruptors (GFCI)? They are fast-acting circuit breakers that cut off power in less than 1/40 of a second--enough time to save you from getting shocked in the case of an electrical ground fault. If your home doesn't already have GFCIs, they can be installed inexpensively. Most home improvement stores will have exactly what you need.

 Southern Pine is dedicated to the communities and the people it serves. One way we show that commitment is by offering you a convenient manner to support your local volunteer fire department. Simply click on the form below, complete it and mail it back to Southern Pine Electric Cooperative, PO Box 528, Brewton, AL  36427 or E-mail it to jjackson@southernpine.org. The dollar amount you have selected to add to your monthly electric bill will be sent to the volunteer fire department of your choice to help them continue to provide much needed services to your local community.
