COOL NEWS - Plant shade trees around your home, keep shades and curtains drawn during direct sunlight hours, keep your attic properly ventilated, wait until cooler hours to do chores that add humidity to the air, such as washing and drying or cooking and be sure your home is well insulated.

About Our Community Commitment

As a Touchstone Energy Cooperative®, one of Southern Pine's four core values is commitment to the communities we serve. While we are fortunate to have many valuable natural resources, we recognize that our most valuable resource is you--our members.

That's why we are involved in the communities that we serve. Whether we're presenting electric safety demonstations to sixth-graders in one of our middle schools, speaking to civic groups about energy efficiency, or sponsoring the local American Cancer Society's Relay For Life, our employees are hard at work helping to make those communities better places. You see, we don't just provide electricity to these communities. We live and work and raise our families there, too, just like you.
