Southern Pine Electric Cooperative is governed by a nine-person board composed of member-owners of the cooperative who are duly elected by the membership to represent them in all matters of importance. Each board member represents a specific district or geographical area within the cooperative's service area.
The board is charged with oversight of all business matters pertaining to the co-op and sets all operating policies and rates. Each board of trustee member serves a three-year term and must be reelected by the membership at the end of that term. Board members are reelected at the Annual Membership Meeting each year on the Saturday prior to Labor Day.
